Having tendonitis stinks. It's an injury that's always under the surface, just waiting for the perfect moment to attack. Finishing the Cascade socks did it to me this time--I'm back in the realm of the gimp-y. (Is "gimp" only used for those with limps, though? I feel like it should apply to my wrist somehow.)
I had the self control to swear off fiber arts for an entire day. 24 hours! I admired my strength. But then when I picked up the needles again the pain was still there. So I've been wearing a brace at night, wrapping and/or splinting my wrist at work, and staring at yarn with a sense of longing.
The worst, though, is figuring out how to spend my time. Surfing the net? Out. How about watching some tv? I'm all caught up on my downloaded shows, and the other day I watched a zillion documentaries online, so I'm kinda sick of it. Knitting and crochet are obviously out. I can listen to the radio... but I usually knit to keep my hands busy. I don't know if I have the patience to just sit and, you know, listen. I guess I can read (about knitting, maybe?).
~sigh~ It's going to be a long week.
