Happy 4th!

It is awesome to live two blocks from the Empire State Plaza. The fireworks show they put on was amazing! A whole bunch of pictures for you tonight:

The place was packed, so we moved over near the Egg where the view was slightly obstructed, but still amazing. The Egg is the blob on the left in most of these shots.

Looks like streamers, doesn't it?

All of these shots are with the "fireworks" setting of my camera with a two second shutter, all hand held. And I held it steady enough so you can see the lines in the Egg in this shot! I'm so proud of that. You try and hold something still for two seconds. -_^

And now for some shots of the ground stuff. Sometimes it was like this:

Other times it was more like this:

All in all, it was awesome The best part? That I could walk home. :P The streets were in gridlock, people honking their horns, ambulances stuck, sirens wailing... I just walked between them to get home. Bwhahahaha.

Hey, Karla! Thanks for visiting my blog! I must admit, seeing your (my) name in my comment section saying things I didn't say was a little disconcerting at first! LOL But like you say, how cool to meet another "Karla with a K" as I like to say ('cause I know everyone is THINKING "C" when I say my name)

So you discovered me over at Crochetville, huh? Are we gonna see your crochet work on your blog or is that another blog? :) Hope to see you again soon!
