And So It GoesEnd of the semester already... finals and their stress are behind me, but the stress of moving (and finding out my grades!) is still here. Tomorrow I'm moving out of the dorms... kind of bittersweet. But only kind of. I'm looking forward to all the stuff that will be happening this summer and beyond. Next Wednesday I move into a new apartment downtown with Bhairavi. It's a really nice place, right in the middle of Center Square, one of the best neighborhoods in Albany. One block from Bomber's, and two from Ben and Jerry's. What more could I want? -_^ I'm also two blocks from Washington Park, three blocks from the Empire State Plaza, one block from a kick butt used bookstore, and five blocks from the bus. And they have milk delivery, in glass bottles and everything! And the Schwann man stops by, too. Bwahaha. This summer I'm a tour guide at school, walking prospective students and their parents around campus on a one hour walking tour. In between the tours, lots of postcard writing. Lots. (We send a handwritten postcard to every student that visits. It's a great touch, but it comes with a price. :P) In late August I move out of the apartment and pack for Japan. I can't wait to get my butt over there--an academic year abroad! I hope to come back pera-pera, or fluent, in Japanese. We'll see how that goes. And after that... who knows. Maybe graduate school. Maybe a teaching job in Japan. Maybe translating or interpreting. Maybe urban planning. We'll see. My computer will be unplugged for the next week, so unfortuately there will be no podcast, no pictures, and probably no rants for that time. Don't worry, I'll be back with more pictures and sounds and everything than ever--from a new locale! Whoo-hoo! Thanks for sticking with me, even though I don't put out content as often as I should. I hope I make it worth your while. ~a great big bear hug with everyone!~ Until then... :: Kazen @ Always Doing 7:38 PM [+] :: :: ... 1 comments
